Three years ago, we were a recreation team. Today, we’re the Fireballs.
Our players, families and coaches have grown together through every practice, every challenge and every step up in competition. Now we’re welcoming a few new teammates into our independent Academy team.
Our three coaches volunteer their time because they care about these players and what they can become. For our players, effort means coming ready to learn, working through challenges and showing up for teammates.

Is Fireballs a soccer academy in Flower Mound?
Fireballs is an independent U10 boys Academy soccer team based in Flower Mound, Texas — one team with volunteer coaches, not a large club with many academy teams. We play in the ASA Academy League and the Plano Premier Invitational League (PPIL), and we train twice a week in the Flower Mound area. Players from nearby communities such as Highland Village, Lewisville, Lantana, Argyle and Coppell are welcome to visit a practice.
Does my child need Academy experience?
Strong recreational players are welcome to reach out. We look for technical readiness, willingness to learn and the ability to engage with the pace of Academy training. The coach will confirm age eligibility and a practice date before your visit.
How is playing time decided?
Academy minutes depend on coach assessment, preparation, attendance, effort, development needs and the match. Equal splits and a 50% minimum are not guaranteed. We want families to understand that before joining.
When could a new player play a match?
Allow approximately one week for registration processing. A first match depends on approval, roster eligibility and the remaining Academy schedule.
What happens after a practice visit?
Your family can decide whether you’d like to continue. The coaches will discuss fit and available roster space with you; another practice may help everyone decide. Places on the team are by invitation. Registration comes after an invitation and your decision to join.
What happens if the weather changes?
Check directly with the coach before traveling. Practice times and locations may change with weather, daylight and field conditions.
What do team fees cover?
Team fees cover the player kit and referee fees. If your player receives an invitation and your family would like to join, the coaches will share the costs and registration details with you. A loan kit is available while your custom kit is being made.
